About Me

I have over 15 years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Social Work from New York University. Before attending NYU, I worked as a Neurofeedback Technician in a holistic health clinic providing cutting edge noninvasive brain training services to children, teenagers, and adults. While pursuing my MSW, I interned with New York Presbyterian Hospital in their Pediatric Outpatient Clinic as a child and family therapist and at an Day Treatment Center with adults suffering from severe and persistent mental illness. I then went on to work for a therapeutic school for emotionally disturbed youth in New York, ages 3-21, as a child and family therapist and later as a school counselor developing and implementing a counseling program. I now work primarily with adults and adolescents in my private practice in Brooklyn, NY.

My own journey in healing and self-discovery has led me to fully understand the beauty and power of meditation, mindfulness, and somatic practices. I am certified as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and I have trained in teaching mindfulness and yoga to youth of all ages. I am also a Reiki Master and beginner Family Constellation Practitioner. I have studied Buddhist philosophy and spirituality, as well as have taken and continue to take courses in meditation, mindfulness, nutrition, neuroscience, physiology, and intuition.

In my more recent journey of becoming a mother, I have gained a new interest in and passion for Perinatal Mental Health and am pursuing my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). I love working with and supporting mothers and parents at all stages.
