Therapy is a collaborative and creative process. Depending on your needs and on what is arising in the specific moment, we will integrate a variety of traditional therapy modalities, such as Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as mind-body tools such as mindfulness, meditation, and embodiment practices.
Reiki is a holistic gentle hands-on (or off if you prefer) healing system used to treat physical, emotional, and spiritual pain. For most clients, the experience is relaxing, comforting, and rejuvenating, with long lasting benefits. We can include Reiki in your psychotherapy sessions or you can schedule separate full sessions for maximum benefit.
Family Constellations is experiential work that deeply heals generations of suffering with one individual, sometimes in just one session. We would start with the area in which you desire healing, and with a family history, we will discover unresolved multigenerational traumas and pain, and together reorganize to create a healthier and higher functioning system.
Monica has been a wonderful resource for me to begin grow and heal. She's taught me important stress reducing techniques and introduced me to the world of meditation.
- Erin, Client
Monica is a warm soul with a wealth of insight and experience to share. She is passionate about the healing experience she provides for others, and is on a path of continuous growth herself. She is present, patient, and wise.
Monica, is thoughtful and very attentive. She helped me see how past relationships and childhood effect my present day situation. I highly recommend her for anyone.
- AH, Client
Monica Nastasi has built a practice that reflects her philosophy of integrating and nourishing the needs of both the mind and body in order to live peacefully in one's environment and life path. I have worked closely with her in a professional capacity and can speak to her dedication to helping children and adults with care, nurturance and wisdom. I recommend her services without reservation.
- Michelle Koh, PhD/NYS Licensed Psychologist
I will forever be thankful for the time spent with Monica. I am more grounded and aware. She helped me navigate through a difficult time and I realize what I learned with her I still rely on today.
- Alex, Client
Monica has been a true pleasure to collaborate with. She's professional, communicative, and genuinely cares about her clients. She's also someone whose clinical judgment I really respect and trust. I've seen my own clients make meaningful discoveries and healthy changes as a result of working with Monica -- and would not hesitate to recommend her to others!
Welcome! Starting therapy is a beautiful gift to give yourself. While it can feel scary and even overwhelming to take this first step, it puts you on a path of healing. We will move at your pace and tune into what you need in the moment to reach your goals. While therapy can be hard work at times, it is this hard work that will create positive change in your life and in your well being.
What is the duration and frequency for therapy?
The therapeutic process is reliant on our relationship and on me getting to know and understand what is causing you distress. The duration and frequency of therapy varies depending on your needs, but I typically recommend weekly sessions, especially in the beginning of our work together. If weekly sessions are not possible or desirable, then we can discuss a plan that would work better for you. I also provide sessions via phone and Skype for convenience.
Do you accept Insurance?
While I currently do not accept insurance, I am an Out of Network Provider. If you have Out of Network benefits with your insurance, then you will pay me directly and be reimbursed for sessions. I will provide you with monthly receipts to submit to your insurance company. I have limited sliding scale rates available.
What should I ask my insurance company?
I would suggest asking your insurance company for specific details about your Out of Network benefits, including if you have a deductible, how much is your deductible, and how much you will be reimbursed for sessions.
What types of payments do you accept?
I accept cash, credit cards, checks, Chase Quick Pay, and Venmo. Credit cards are subject to a $5 processing fee.
Will soon start blogging. Please check back later.
