Individual psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and children is a collaborative and creative process. Depending on your needs and the specific moment, we will integrate a variety of traditional therapy modalities, such as Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as mind-body tools such as mindfulness, embodiment practices, and breathing practices.
Family Therapy and Child-Parent Therapy are geared towards restoring health and equilibrium in the family system. Families come in all shapes and forms, and we will develop a plan to best meet your family’s needs.
Reiki is a holistic and gentle hands-on (or off if you prefer) healing system used to treat physical, emotional, and spiritual pain. For most clients, the experience is relaxing, comforting, and rejuvenating. While there is no empirical evidence to prove the effects of reiki, the clients themselves are the evidence in the benefits that they experience from the practice.
A complete Reiki session is one hour. You can also add Reiki to your psychotherapy for full and integrative healing sessions.
Growing evidence in meditation and mindfulness research shows what Buddhists and other Eastern practitioners have known for thousands of years- that the benefits of practicing meditation and mindfulness are life changing. Neuroscience research has clearly shown the benefits of these practices on brain development and functioning, which integrates into all aspects of behavioral, emotional, social, and academic functioning.
Meditation instruction is great for all ages and can be included in psychotherapy or as separate sessions.
I offer clinical supervision for new clinical social workers and field instruction for social work interns
